The Springfield Public Library

Springfield Library

The library is a warm and welcoming environment for people of all ages. We are not just a great place to meet your literacy needs. We offer so much more! With so many books, magazines, movies, and our toy lending library, there are plenty of options for you or your family to find some good entertainment. Not only that, but we provide many different activities and programs for you and your family to enjoy throughout the year. From craft drop-ins to our well-loved Storytime, we have plenty of programs for the youth to enjoy. We also have programs geared towards adults with activities such as Canasta, T.O.P.S, Connections, and the Better Than Therapy Book Club.

The library has been located at 60024 MB-206, Dugald (right by the train tracks) since 2009 and has been proud to help serve you, the community, for ten successful years and many more to come!

The Springfield Archives Department is also located within the library. The archives is the home of Springfield's history and features an impressive display available for public viewing that showcases a combination of municipal and donated items from community members dating back to 1873, when the municipality was originally formed. Visit Springfield Archives Department for more information.
