The Rural Municipality of Springfield Council is pleased to present the updated 10-year Vision Plan. This plan is a living document and a blueprint for what council intends to achieve in service to our community in the coming years, and is designed to guide our decisions and actions as we work towards enhancing the quality of life for our ratepayers and visitors.
In 2016, a collaborative planning process began to gather a wide variety of ideas and opinions regarding the desired future of the municipality. With input from council, administration, and local organizations, a shared vision was created which allowed the local government to set priorities and goals that aligned with the community's vision and needs. The 2018-2028 Vision Plan was adopted in 2018, revised in 2020, and updated in May 2025 with input from current council and administration.
As one of the fastest-growing municipalities in the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region, we recognize the importance of adaptation and are dedicated to advancing infrastructure, delivering exceptional services, preserving our natural environment, and continuously working for and with our communities towards our shared vision for the future. The Vision Plan is not just a document, it is our commitment to our residents and stakeholders to listen, engage, and always act in the best interest of our rural municipality.
