Notice is hereby given that a vote of the Rural Municipality of Springfield will be taken to elect a Mayor and 4 Councillors from the following duly nominated candidates:

VOTING PLACES

Voting Places will be open for voting on Wednesday the 28th day of October 2022 between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM at the following locations:

Please note that residents must attend their assigned voting station. This information will be sent via mail to residents. If you are still unsure of your assigned location or have misplaced your voting station card, please contact the Senior Election Official at elections@rmofspringfield.ca.


*IDENTIFICATION WILL BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE.

A person will be required to produce one piece of government issued photo identification (for example - driver’s license or passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.


ADVANCE VOTING

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on election day, an advance voting opportunity will be located at the École Dugald School Gym, 543 Holland St, Dugald, MB and will be open Saturday, October 17, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.


MOBILE VOTING

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but reside at a health care facility or elderly persons home, a mobile voting station will be set up at the following locations on Monday, October 19, 2026:

  • Sunrise Lodge – 740 Weiser Crescent, Anola                                9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
  • Springfield Place – 628 Main Street, Oakbank                             10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
  • Kin Place PCH – 680 Pine Drive, Oakbank                                     1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. 
  • Kin Place Independent Living – 689 Main Street, Oakbank        2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Dugald Estates – 800 Jaffray Street, Dugald                                  4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Evergreen Lodge – 27 042 PTH 15 Rd 60N, Dugald                      5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. 
  • Pleasantview Lodge – 68 008 PR 212 Rd 30E, Cooks Creek        6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.


APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE

A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, or by fax, before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026, to the Senior Election Official at the Rural Municipality of Springfield Municipal Office, Box 219, 100 Springfield Centre Drive, Oakbank, Manitoba, R0E 1J0. Fax: 204-444-2137

Applications made on or before Friday, October 16, 2026, may have the sealed envelope ballot package delivered via regular mail service.  In the event of a postal strike, the voter shall make alternate arrangements to have the ballot delivered.  Applications made after Friday, October 16, 2026, should indicate method of delivery of package. Voter may receive package at time of application.
